The Strategy department serves as the intelligence nerve center at Connelly Partners. Although our top priority is the relentless pursuit and unearthing of human insights, we own responsibility for a wide range of intelligence areas that are central to the formation of brand, channel and content strategies.


You will be part of our Strategy department where we collaborate and share perspectives on our assigned projects nearly every day. And we collectively explore new tools and technology to further our insights and intelligence capabilities as well as workshop with team members and clients in support of crafting sound strategies and inspirational ideas.


The Associate Director of Strategy wears multiple hats and juggles multiple projects across several clients on a given day. They are responsible for designing, executing and analyzing a wide range of quant and qual research initiatives. They will also regularly gather audience insights and identify societal trends that can help shape strategic opportunities across brand strategy, campaign, content and media strategy. Tasks include writing thoughtful brand and campaign briefs, developing segmentation structures and developing robust personas, designing customer journey maps and designing and moderating workshops. Additionally the Associate Director will supervise and mentor the Strategy department staff including a Senior Strategist, Brand Strategist (based in Dublin), and a Cultural Anthropologist.



  • Write thoughtful brand and campaign briefs
  • Design research projects and author project proposals through the identification of situation-appropriate methodologies for various clients and prospects
  • Design and moderate workshops
  • Manage and execute most facets of assigned research projects including effective analysis of data in order to inform clients and brand teams of insights and answers specific to the research objectives
  • Develop segmentation structures, robust personas and customer workshops
  • Steward and curate ongoing cultural & societal trends and insights, authoring thought leadership content outputs with a consistent cadence
  • Lead strategy on a minimum of 3 cornerstone CP client accounts with frequent participation in new business pitch initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor a staff of three strategists


  • Inherently curious and creatively resourceful
  • Minimum of 7 years of agency-side or brand-side strategic planning experience
  • Various qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, workshop and group moderation know-how a must
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects with prioritization skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to mentor and direct multiple team members to drive individual career growth
  • Engaging storyteller and imaginator
