The public relations and social media department acts as the puller of invisible strings to make conversations happen. We are social content creators and community managers. We are publicists. We are influencer marketing mavens. As experts across three marketing disciplines, we work to concept and distribute content throughout a variety of channels including organic social platforms, earned media, and influencers. Our goal is to garner additional interest in our clients' initiatives through building strong relationships with media and influencers and aiding them in the facilitation of creative, thought-provoking visual and written promotion.


The Public Relations and Social Media Manager works across the three unique yet integrated disciplines of public relations, social media, and influencer marketing. This position aids the team in carrying out day-to-day tasks including creating media lists, pitching media, researching influencers and executing campaigns, social media content calendar creation, and social media community management.  


  • Act as a key member of the team in executing integrated PR, social media, and influencer marketing programs and plans
  • Create engaging social media content and manage the daily posting of social content calendars across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest for a variety of clients
  • Monitor clients’ social communities including responding to customer service inquiries via direct messages or comments, engaging with fans/followers, and social listening on a daily basis
  • Develop integrated influencer programs that enhance clients’ social plans. This includes influencer research, negotiation, contracting, and content management.
  • Draft and distribute press releases and media materials to local, regional, and national media
  • Manage media lists for clients to maintain up-to-date information on relevant editors and publications
  • Track client coverage and handle the creation of monthly status reports and/or agendas
  • Attend client meetings to gain understanding of process and take notes for the team
  • Research social media news, platform developments, and trending content ideas


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of direct public relations, influencer marketing, and social media experience
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiar with social scheduling/reporting tools and software used to manage influencer programs
  • Excellent, detail-oriented writer who is familiar with press outreach to the local, regional, and national media market
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the latest and greatest social media platforms and how to create unique content across them. Candidate should have active social channels and be a regular consumer and poster on social media.
  • Loves words, images, and REALLY loves to make them work in harmony
  • Understands the importance of influencer marketing and is excited by the idea of planning and executing multi-tiered campaigns
