Analytics Department Mission

The CP analytics team partners with its clients and agency co-workers to help answer three fundamental questions: what happened? so what? and what’s next? Our answers to these questions are rooted in and driven by data.  As such, we are experts in leveraging data to measure marketing results, analyze trends and relationships, and identify opportunities for improving marketing and business performance over time. Ultimately, we believe data itself is not a competitive differentiator, rather how a company makes its data actionable that will determine its competitive advantage.

Job Purpose

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will assist in all aspects of defining, designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining analytic solutions for CP clients. This is a “hands-on” and “sleeves-up” role working with media and marketing data and requires a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional agency teams (e.g., media, creative, account management, etc.). This position reports to the Associate Director, Data & Analytic Solutions. 



  • Document client and agency requirements for reporting and analysis
  • Assist in maintaining centralized data dictionary - clear and consistent definitions of metrics, calculations, etc.
  • Conduct data analysis to explore trends through SQL, R, Python, across media clients and industries
  • Assist in holistic media reporting, across media channels and audience segments
  • Gain exposure to internal systems as well as client preferred technology
  • Support the analytics department across projects as needed
  • Experience ingesting data from various types of file stores (csv, xlsx, txt)
  • Experience ingesting data securely from modern integrations like APIs
  • Experience implementing reports and real-time dashboards using Google Data Studio (GDS), Tableau, Power BI or similar tools
  • Exposure to Python is desirable
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (BigQuery preferred, AWS or Azure)
  • Ability to present ideas and insights to business stakeholders in a fast-paced organization

  • BA/BS degree required. 
  • 1-2 years professional experience analyzing marketing performance data
  • Exposure to data engineering principles and business analysis
  • Proven analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data and draw conclusions
  • Experience in the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationships
  • Knowledge of BI intelligence platforms
  • Cultivate a positive team environment 
  • Handle multiple tasks/projects and meet all deadlines 
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills 
  • Strong problem-solving mentality
