JOB PURPOSE

The Video editor at Connelly Partners is responsible for creating video for the agency.  You are a craftsperson that understands how to tell a story through audio and visual mediums.  The projects will range from TV spots, sales videos, light animation and motion, as well as color correction of video content.  You will work with the creative teams and the content producers to plan out and execute the creative.  The video editor needs to be prepared to always be pushing to make the work better and keeping the goals of the creative team in mind.   You will also be responsible for understanding the trends in editing and storytelling.  You get to play with all the toys.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  1. Digitizes and organizes all footage for use in videos.  
    2. Provides invaluable creative input on all initial scripts and throughout the post-production process.
    3. Responsible for putting together videos, per specs of the job.
    4. Designs motion graphics, light animation and color correction of footage
    5. With producer and the creative team, screens all cuts throughout the approval process.
    6. Addresses all agency and /or client cut changes.
    7. Supervises / attends final post as necessary.
    8. Archives all footage at the wrap of each job.
    10. Maintains all edit equipment, trouble shoots problems, and actively facilitates repairs.
    11. Other duties: may require shooting content and organizing simple shoots and insert shots.


QUALIFICATIONS


Qualifications include:

3-5 years of experience in the video/content creation space.  Must be detail oriented, adept at multi-tasking, and a self-starter. Individual must also remain calm during stressful situations while managing urgent deadlines, organizing and multitasking a variety of details in ever changing situations and have a diplomatic and problem-solving attitude. Must be proficient Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, AfterEffects, Audacity, Photoshop, etc) as well as color correction of video content.   Understanding of cameras and shooting a plus.
